A Solid History

Copreneurs, Bruce and Sharon Bellamy started what is now Bellamy Construction in 1975. Founded on the convention of hard-work and dedication the Scotia New York family-owned business grew quickly. Each decade marked tremendous milestones with the introduction of excavation and concrete services in the ’80s, followed by heavier excavation, water, and sewer line work in the ’90s. Brian Bellamy, having grown up working in the family business and being an avid follower of the emerging underground technologies, invested in introducing horizontal directional drilling and pipe bursting, to the Capital Region through Bellamy Construction and its compilation of project solutions. Today Bellamy is a leader in Trenchless Technology – or Horizontal Directional Drilling – throughout New England, with over 50 employees and state-of-the-art technology, serving the greater Albany Capital Region and surrounding areas. Clients include residential, municipality, corporate and utility companies.
